Abstract:
A circularly polarized (CP) planar switched-beam grid array antenna is studied at 93 GHz (W-band). The antenna comprises a grid array radiator with multi-port and a suspended slanted rectangular patch array (metasurface). The suspended metasurface is used to generate the CP radiation. The antenna prototype using print circuit board achieves beam scanning angle of ±13.8􀀁 at 93 GHz with CP radiation.
