Abstract:
Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a growing technology with transformative potential across industries. However, the adoption of AM is hindered by the lack of a skilled workforce. This article examines the role of industry-government collab-oration, reskilling and training strategies, and certification pathways in empowering the AM workforce. Using case studies from Singapore, we discuss the challenges and opportunities in this area. The article concludes by calling for coordinated efforts from industry, government, and educational institutions to empower the AM workforce and accelerate the adoption of this technology.
