Abstract:
A switchable beam-steering grid-array antenna at Ka-band is studied for airborne applications. Based on grid array antenna (GAA) configuration, the main beam of the antenna can be steered by switching the excitations at different locations. An antenna design with nine excitations achieve beam steering angle of ±19° at 29 GHz.
