Abstract:
This paper presents an analytic study of reducing the contribution of source mismatch in RF power measurements. With implementation of a two-port network (i.e., an attenuator) in between a RF source and a load (e.g., a power sensor), the contribution of source mismatch could be substituted by the reflection coefficient of the attenuator at its port connected with the load, if its attenuation value is high. In the paper, performance of the method has also been successfully evaluated and discussed with different scenarios.
