Abstract:
This paper aims to address sensor security issue with an autonomous vehicle (AV). It would be devastating in the event that sensors are compromised. Thus, in this paper, we present a cyber-physical security approach to secure sensing inputs. We present the details of a cyber security protocol design for Device Authentication and Data Transmission. Tests and performance evaluation have then been done to show the feasibility of the proposed protocol as the time efficiency of the protocol is critical to the functionality of the overall AV.
