Abstract:
Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) is a chronic, recalcitrant skin disease characterized by sterile pustules and erythematous scaling on the palms and soles. Emerging treatments, including IL-12/23, TNF, IL- 17A, IL-8, IL-36, and phosphodiesterase-4 inhibitors, were evaluated in PPP patients. Some PPP patients were reported to benefit from targeted therapies; however, through a network meta-analysis, no drug was found to be more effective than placebo for disease improvement and clearance.
