Abstract:
Optical fiber bending sensors have been utilized in numerous fields. Here, we demonstrate a compact and robust bending sensor based on helical structures in a hollow core fiber. The bending sensitivity of proposed sensor is improved 2.6 times compared with the sensor without helical structure.
