Abstract:
Metro control systems may be vulnerable to cyber attacks. In this paper, we propose a secure communication protocol based on two-factor authentication to achieve better security guarantee for Metro control devices. The secure communication protocol is presented in details and integrated with the first factor, a shared secret key, and the second factor, historical data stored in the server, to enable the control device to authenticate the server. The implementation results show good performances.
