Abstract:
A radome design is proposed for phased array antennas (PAAs) to enhance beam scanning angle. Changing the material properties via a parametric mapping transformation optics method is used to design radome for enhancing the scanning angle of the PAAs. This study provides not only linear relationship for ease of control, but the flexibility to change the material properties for more practical application. Proposed radome can be enhanced the scanning angle of ±60° ×1.25.
